First Trimester Screening in Chiang Mai

Featured Replies

My Thai wife is pregnant now and on december we will arrive in CM. Anybody already have done the "First Trimester Screening" in Chiang Mai and can recommend?

Thank

Regards

Just about any hospital. We used Ram, but all the other major ones are also fine. (Lanna, etc.)

Assuming this involves an echo scan, they'll give you the pictures and video.

Its only a echo scan...no blood test? How long does it takes till you get the result? And how much you paid for it?

Thank you

OK !

At least both of you now know exactly what to seek/ask for.

Best wishes to you and your wife.

Hi,

I don't remember if there is a blood test or not; could be. The overall cost is not high at all. I forgot how much it was but I think you're out of there at well under 2000 Baht. Do ask about the cost in advance though, that's just good practice. And resist any offers for vitamins, etc. unless you actually want them. (But even then it would be cheaper from a pharmacy or independent Ob-Gyn clinic. The hospital visit is mostly because they have the echo scan equipment.

Just want to Report it. My Thai wife just did it last week here in CM. It costs totally nearly 7.000 THB. Blood test take time about 2- 3weeks.
