Looks amazing. Please report back how reliable it is if you do sign up.

Do they run optic fiber direct to the condo or how does it work? Is there a total data limit?

What channels are included in the "free" TV package?

Relax, what tricks do you suspect? smile.png

True also has similar offer.

I am in East Pattaya. True has just ran the cable in front of my house, I went to their office was told another 2 months before it will be available. I am waiting...

I still pay 641 + 107 = 748 baht for my 10/1M True + TOT Internet. Looks like soon fiber will be the better option.

AiS recently put flyers in our mailbox to advertise this service, unfortunately only in Thai. I was told by our neighbor that the fiber will go to a box in our area but the last mile was wireless so in his opinion unreliable and better stick with True. Any more information about it ?

Last mile would be probably via VDSL2 (phone lines) which can deliver full speed if not far from fiber box.

AIS wireless service is called AirNet and they don't offer 30/10 on Wireless.

AIS is cheap with good speeds but they have the worst service.

Im still waiting 2months after giving them my number for installing. Yet they've started advertising close to my area.

I have had the AIS fiber (FTTH) for about 6 weeks now, 30mps Down 10mbps up for 1190 Baht per month. I rang the number on a flyer and I pay 1/2 price for 6 months. No deposit and monthly payments for foreigner.

All with free router and Installation, Have to pay for router and Installation if I finish before 1 year. I also got the AIS playbox which I don't use. (mostly Thai).

So far very good, no problems at all.

I was previously with True, for about 2 years, also very good to start but got worse and worse, after 5p.m every night the True internet became totally useless, so I decided to change.

Very happy with AIS so far, there is no catch, I don't even have a AIS mobile.

Sorry, just looked at the OP link. That looks like a better deal than I had. I wasn't offered the telephone bit.

Seems they can't give it away.

Perhaps something is lacking with infrastructure in Thailand. Why can't they give faster speeds with cable? ??

I am outside any major city in the US and I consistently get 50+ Mbps down and the throttled 6Mbps up with cable. (Most here probably know they throttle the upload to prevent/discourage people from running web servers from home. If you want full up and a static IP you can pay for it. There are websites that will give you a proxy static IP but you're still limited on upload.)

50+ down is fast enough that I've never given a thought to fiber.

Cheers.

Cable is fiber optic in most places - just an indication it is carried by a cable rather than a satellite. And speeds of 1 GB are available here if a person wants to pay for it.

1Gbps/200 Mbps 19,990

Ok I will give it a try but i do not want to use the old condo telephone cable that has not been changed for 10 years since the building exist.

Do you know how much I will have to pay to bring the fiber at the 15th floor of the condo ?

Thank you.

No way they'll install fiber in condo. You don't own the building.

If they brought fiber to the condo (fiber box), the rest via VDSL2 should work fine. You can get up to 100Mbit without problems with 30 year old phone cables. They are made of copper. 10 years is nothing.

Wrong, copper cables nee to be changed sometimes because become oxidized with time.

And yes they will install, because when i pay people do what i want <3

You have 0 knowledge about phone cables.

You can't buy everything with money. Rules are rules. You do not own condo building period.

The truth is that you have ZERO knowledge about Thailand and maybe many other things.

Fiber is now connected directly from the ground floor box to my condo for 70 thb a meter + 2 envelopes.

This is life, there is yours and mine, luckily there are different <3
