Paris Concert Hall Attackers 'Killed' In Raid

Police who launched an assault on the Bataclan concert hall where at least 100 hostages are being held have reportedly killed two gunmen.

Police confirmed that the operation is over.

During the assault, witnesses reported hearing five successive explosions followed by gunshots around the venue.

Earlier, police officials said at least 15 people had been killed inside the building in the 11th arrondissement.

UN secretary general Ban Ki-moon had demanded "the immediate release" of the hostages being held in the theatre, where the US band Eagles of Death Metal was scheduled to play.

These murderous fanatics will eventually be defeated.

Really, have you ventured out of the tourist areas....its a hell hole. Marseille that was once a beautiful place seriously now looks like Beirut, France, Belgium, Sweden and Holland are all too far gone to reverse the situation..Within 10 years Muslim majority will be democratically voted in power and then Sharia will be implemented. Where will the leftist PC brigades be then, probably loving paying their jizya tax

A French government official says the country's state of emergency has gone into effect and that President Francois Hollande is cancelling his trip to the G-20 meeting in Turkey.

Hollande was due to leave Saturday for the meeting in Turkey, which was to focus in large part on growing fears of terrorism carried out by Islamic extremists.

The official, who was not authorized to be named, said the government will hold a defense council meeting in the morning.

Two Paris police officials say security forces have ended their assault on a concert hall filled with hostages, killing at least two attackers. Neither official could be named, citing ongoing operations throughout the city.

One official described "carnage" inside the building, saying the attackers had tossed explosives at the hostages. Both officials said they expected the toll of victims to rise.
