migrant
Well being the visa dummy that I am I goofed. I didn't realize that a 60 day tourist visa, and the 30 days you get on arrival, are different. I thought I had 60 days, but just looked and am "admitted until Nov 19" so guess I'm over. So, should I 1) Go to Hua Hin immigration and grovel? (I am in Bang Saphan) 2) Go to the airport and take the first plane out, pay fine, and return in a few days? I am married to a Thai woman, and, after a return to the States from February until April, plan on applying for my OA visa Thanks!
ubonjoe
1. Since this is your 7th day of overstay I doubt very much immigration would allow you to pay the overstay fine of 3500 baht (500 baht per day) fine and apply for a 30 day extension or 60 days to visit your wife. 2. You could go to the airport pay the overstay fine on departure from the country, leave and come back on the same day to get a new 30 day visa exempt entry . No need to stay out of the country for a few days.
