CDC gathers input on new charter

SONGKHLA, 29 November 2015 (NNT) – The Constitution Drafting Commission (CDC) held a seminar/hearing session in the southern province of Songkhla to gather suggestions on the new charter.

In cooperation with the King Prajadhipok's Institute, the CDC organized a seminar in Hat Yai to hear thoughts and opinions from the public regarding the new constitution which is currently going through a drafting process.

According to CDC spokesperson Amorn Wanichwiwatana, many sectors including civil servants, state officials, the private sector, and members of the public took part in this hearing session.

The seminar also featured a speech by CDC chairman Meechai Ruchuphan as well as group discussions regarding rights and liberty, duties and responsibilities of Thai citizens, duties of the government, decentralization, and national reform.
