Another very simple question I can find the answer to

It's mad when I'm in bars speaking with Thai lady's the more drunk I seem to get the more fluent I speak and the more they compliment me on my ability to speak Thai, there's just silly little things the app on my phone don't tell me like,

"Can you?" In the context of me saying Pom yak dai astray? Can you? I'm assuming it's something simple like "dai Kun" would also like to know how to say " be right back" or "I'll come back" but there's so many different ways to request the same thing I thought I'd double check, thank you. I think I need to write a list of all the stuff I wish to learn to say as opposed to making threads

"Can you" in the context of asking for something is ใด้ไหม dai mai

dai = get

mai = not, high tone indicates a question

Similar to won't you please?

"Be right back" is เดี๋ยวมา dee-ow ma literally come(back) in an instant.

dee-ow = instant

ma = come

"I'll come back" when not meant as be right back, but tomorrow, next week, month, year, before I die: แล้วจะมาอีก laew ja ma eeg

laew = already

ja = intending

ma = come

eeg = again

Voila, intending to come back again already.

I tutor Thai and English in the Pattaya area.
