I was watching the Loy Krathong parade on Beach Rd a few days ago and I was surprised to see that a bunch of bikies were at the front of the parade.

They have a very bad reputation in Oz. A few years back they killed some guy at Sydney Airport in front of dozens of people including young kids. No respect for any laws.

I guess they are a good fit for Pattaya.

Piccolo Antonio used his wife to rent the car. The new Big man of the under world. At least Forrest G understood the true dimensions of "stupid".

Botched his underworld career as well as everything else.

The new BIG MAN of the underworld haha don't make me throw up over my cornflakes.

If the stupid idiot had any sense he wouldn't rent a new vehicle which is bound to Hav a tracker fitted. Just buy a clapped out old banger out in the sticks for 50,000b if u want the job done without getting caught at the border.

An American held by police under suspicion of involvement in an Aussies kidnap and murder in Pattaya

PATTAYA: -- An American was held in police custody under suspicion of involvement in the kidnap and murder of an Australian in Pattaya as he tried to cross the border into Cambodia through an immigration office in Sa Kaew province.

The suspect, identified as Mr.Tyler Joseph Fulton Sheen Gerard, was being escorted by police back to Pattaya for interrogation.

In Pattaya, in the meantime, police have sought an approval from Pattaya provincial court for an arrest warrant for an Australian identified as Antonio Beknato, on charges of assault and illegal detention depriving someone of his liberty.

A Thai woman, Ms Priew (surname unknown), has been held in police custody under suspicion that she might be involved in the crime. Police said Ms Priew was instructed by her Australian boyfriend to rent a pickup truck from Mr Manop Yuanyee who operates a car rental service in central Pattaya.

The truck was suspected to be used in the kidnap of Wayne Schneider. It was later found abandoned at Soi Kasetsin 5 on Khao Phra Tamnak, Pattaya South.

The victim, Australian man identified as Wayne Schneider, 37, was kidnapped from of his house by a group of masked men. His body was found buried in the roadside bush in Tambon Na Chomthien, Sattahip district on Tuesday.

Police on Wednesday searched a house on Phra Tamnak road in Bang Lamung district suspected to be the location where the victim was murdered to look for evidences which might be a clue on the murderers.

its amazing how fast things can go when thais smell the presence of large sums of cash. Disappointingly, they left with the money. (i presume they had money. why else?)

Are you sure it is ONLY Thai's that get excited over big money?

How do so many foreign criminals flood into Thailand unnoticed ? And then often escape ? Makes one wonder how many thousands are hiding here.

Are you really surprised?

Ever heard of the shooting in Paris etc.?

Was it resident saints who did that?

Read more news other than on TV to understand such stuff.

Get a life, man!

My money would be that scheider had ripped the money off in a past drug deal or he had been ripped off and lost the drugs and his mates did not believe him and went after him as he wasn't going to make good the loss.

Mafia drug bosses will still pursue money even if a consignment gets ripped off before delivery from one of their couriers.

One case in Australia recently customs busted a big casch of drugs and the person in charge of it had to make good the money lost even though high ranking or face the concrete slipper.

They tend to hunt in packs, safety in numbers. Get one on their own and chances are they'll soil their leather chaps.

Maybe it is time the Police posted a person at every car hire company to check how much customers paid and investigate all the ones paying 5 times the usual cost or maybe they should get a share, sort of like a tax for all their hard work catching crooks and clearing up road accidents.

Theirs something wrong with the rental price of that unremarkable truck. 1000 to 1500 per day is the going rate.

but if it has GPS tracking it cost more. and she did want to get the best thumbsup.gif

But the best of the best was 10,000 without the GPS and respray of the vehicle on return, but she opted for the cheaper of the two giggle.gif

"ok honey, we are going to kill this guy. make sure you rent the truck in your name, and get one that has that fancy new GPS tracker. Next send text messages back and forth so there is a written record of what we a planning. make sure at least five people are involved so we can keep a secret and I am not going to wear a mask so the security guard can ID me. got it?"

So far he is innocent until proven guilty.

Not even an arrest warrant as far as what I have read.

I don't think that there will be much physical evidence against him, and sounds like eye witness accounts will

be at the very least, inconsistent, given the fact that the perpetrators were reportedly wearing masks.

There maybe some fingerprint evidence in the vehicle that could link him to the crime, but if he manages

to keep his mouth shut, he has a fairly good chance of walking on this one.

Its hard for me to understand just how these criminals are able to enter Thailand. Recently after having lived here for 9 years , applying for my visa in Australia i had to get a Federal Police Clearance first

What is hard to understand oldsailor....?

As you just mentioned---Australia doesn't have "Visa on arrival" You had to get a clearance first--& a visa.

Thailand has visa on arrival for certain countries .

So imagined 3-4 planes arriving at the same time (as they often do) 1,000----1,200 people standing in immigration waiting for them to do a police check on each person (quite how you would do that without Thailand being connected to all the police forces computers in the world + the FBI) I don't know .

If you have free travel this is what you will get----as someone pointed out, the people who done the Paris attacks had free travel from another EU country.

All the British crims used to travel to Spain before...................coffee1.gif
