I have a buyer for my truck. But, the registration has expired. I am told that I need to re-register it under my name before it can be registered in the name of the new owner.

Two questions:

Is it really necessary to register the vehicle in my name again before it can be registered in name of new owner?

And, what is the cost to register the vehicle? It is an older, small truck.

Is the Blue Book in your name ? If so, I imagine you have let the tax stamps expire. DLT offices can be a force of their own, with different locations having slightly different procedures.

Tax stamp for a pickup - small - should be less than 1000 baht a year. You will need to purchase Gov't insurance before they issue you with the new stamp.
