Get a folding lawn chair, a tall cold drink and some snacks and plant yourself on the Skywalk in front of Terminal 21 for an hour or two around lunch time. If you dont see one you like, move over to Emporium for an hour- just one BTS stop away.

If your perfect woman still doesnt come into view, she doesnt exist.

Seriously, if you want to letch, stay in the bars. Let the normal girls go about their business without having to deal with some old guy leering at them.

Yeah, like I'm to only one... Besides, most of the normal women I work with are as entertained by the harmless letches as we are by them. They have a sense of humor, too. Sometimes, a pretty sharp one.

Agreed, I've always heard that ladies from Lamphun have the reputation, for being the palest in Thailand, perhaps being on the old trade-routes there have been more Chinese migrants in this part of the North-East than elsewhere ?

But speaking for myself, I always think a tan looks healthy & attractive, I guess everybody has their own cultural bias ?

The majority of ladies you see in Lampang and especially in Lamphun don't actually come from those towns,they simply work there because of the large number of Japanese clean engineering factories that exist there, the ladies come from all over Thailand but mostly from Central and Northern provinces.

If you're not attracted to a partner outwardly (sexually), how are you going to keep the 'relationship' going, assuming it's a sexual relationship which I am by your choice of the word, girlfriend. Unlike the P.C. wallers , I take it for granted that you know that you'll most likely need more than just sexual attraction to make the relationship last even if that's just mutual sexual attraction.

The sexual allure of white skinned oriental/s.e.a. women apparently goes unrecognised by many western P.C. T.V.posters who seem to lack the capacity to appreciate it or are in denial but strangely enough it hasn't escaped television programme producers here, Chinese people and Thai women.

I, myself, came to a similar conclusion regarding preference only after being here for several years; at first I couldn't see what the big deal was about whiteness of skin but gradually came to appreciate the aesthetic juxtaposition of East and West.

IMO we need more tolerance of expressions of individual tastes where the link to incitement to violence/hatred is non-existent or most tenuous.

You've got a point in that most Thai women "actively looking" for a farang is most likely a gold-digger. The problem I see is if you're looking for a light skin Thai girl who's also attractive, you'll be competing with the Thai dudes. And you'll be at a severe disadvantage. But there are plenty of light skin Thai girls who are not top notch attractive. Or maybe older or single mother. That would be more realistic.
