PHUKET: -- It’s full steam ahead for the Asia Superyacht Rendezvous as an eclectic fleet of yachts line up to drop anchor in Kata Bay on December 16-18.

This is Asia’s largest invitation only gathering of superyachts where the fun of luxury yacht ownership is celebrated.

This year’s lineup consists of S/Y Lamima, a stunning 65-meter gaff rigged Indonesian Phinisi; S/Y Aventure, one of the largest wooden yachts in the world at 29 meters; S/Y Lady Thuraya, a high performance Dubois; S/Y Bliss in at 37 meters; S/Y Arabella, a 20-meter new build Fountaine Pajot; 32-meter sleek cruiser M/Y Antares by Maoira Yachts; high performance M/Y After 8, a beautiful German built custom at 33 meters; and the contemporary sharp lines of M/Y Darling a 21 meter new build Monte Carlo courtesy of the Royal Phuket Marina and Gulu Lalvani.

For the "normal" people there is the "normal" Pimex Boat Show at RPM, 7 to 10 January, with "normal" yachts up to 32m :)

I also wonder why they include the picture of a 21m boat in this article...

Is that thing real?

Some more info on it?

Just google images "superyacht" there are plenty over 100m these days..

I work on the 40-60m boats and they are considered small nowadays :)

Havent seen much action down there. A few small boats and a big sailboat but nothing spectacular.

Never really noticed any big motor cruiser these last few day. One today less than 12m
