PHUKET: -- It’s full steam ahead for the Asia Superyacht Rendezvous as an eclectic fleet of yachts line up to drop anchor in Kata Bay on December 16-18.

This is Asia’s largest invitation only gathering of superyachts where the fun of luxury yacht ownership is celebrated.

This year’s lineup consists of S/Y Lamima, a stunning 65-meter gaff rigged Indonesian Phinisi; S/Y Aventure, one of the largest wooden yachts in the world at 29 meters; S/Y Lady Thuraya, a high performance Dubois; S/Y Bliss in at 37 meters; S/Y Arabella, a 20-meter new build Fountaine Pajot; 32-meter sleek cruiser M/Y Antares by Maoira Yachts; high performance M/Y After 8, a beautiful German built custom at 33 meters; and the contemporary sharp lines of M/Y Darling a 21 meter new build Monte Carlo courtesy of the Royal Phuket Marina and Gulu Lalvani.

Is this hard news or just a promo ? Yawn Yawn ...

Marketing.

Went last year down to Kata rocks and it was a gathering of the pretentious.

Give it a miss.

Hoozizit.

These called " luxury boats" will be " super yachts " if the lenght reaches over 24 meters long.

For the "normal" people there is the "normal" Pimex Boat Show at RPM, 7 to 10 January, with "normal" yachts up to 32m :)

I also wonder why they include the picture of a 21m boat in this article...

Havent seen much action down there. A few small boats and a big sailboat but nothing spectacular.

I'm saving up for two. tongue.png

When one is rich enough, then the person should have this support boat, to carry toys for the yacht.

This is a "superyacht", not the little dingys anchored off Kata smile.png

Blimey.

Is that thing real?

Some more info on it?

Never really noticed any big motor cruiser these last few day. One today less than 12m
