The free trial has no time limit as I used it for a year with no problems. A valuable plug-in for FireFox when you want to read the same news as the rest of the world.

I did notice that having ZenMate turned on allowed faster surfing at times. Never thought about local throttling but that might be why.

Problem with ZenMate it the free version does not include the UK

I am not running Zenmate, but I am using another VPN server. I have often found that connecting via VPN through a SIngapore server results in much better down speeds.

But Browsec is better. And free.

Check the search function re Zenmate! It's ok for 2-3 weeks & then deliberately starts playing up in the hope that you'll sign up. If you don't sign up it gets worse!

I eventually settled for expressvpn. Their aftercare service in the months since signing up has been quick and impressive.

Never used the search function on ZenMate as I just used it for a secure connection. Hitting that little slide switch on the shield icon was pretty cool every time I wanted to view a blocked site.
