Transfer existing stamps to new passport outside of Thailand?

Hello, we have a multi entry O-A visa issued 8-10-2015 and entered Thailand on 5th November, 2015.

We intend traveling around Asia and Europe this year and will return to Thailand in Sept 2016 for a month before returning to Australia.

Our problem is that my wife's passport expires 27-05-2017.
As I understand it, when we re-enter Thailand in September (which is before the expiry of our current visa - 7-10-16)
- I will be granted another 12 months entry and
- my wife will be granted entry until the expiry date of her passport ie. 27-05-2017.
On leaving Thailand in early October (before 7th Oct) we will arrange re-entry stamp (sorry if that is not the correct terminology) for us.
We plan to return to Thailand in March/April 2017. I will have my existing passport (with re-entry stamp) and my wife her new and old passport.
What I would like to know is if it possible to get the stamps from her old passport transferred to her new passport in Australia?
If not, would we be able to re-enter with her new and old passport and then get the stamps transferred on our return?
I know that the easiest way to avoid this problem is to get a new passport from the Australian Embassy in Bangkok whilst we are here but timing issues will probably prevent that.
Thanks in advance for any comments/advice.

Even though her passport will be expiring before the end of the one year entry she will still be stamped in for a year.

The stamps can only be transferred here at an immigration office.

She can use both passports on entry to the country to use the re-entry permit in the old passport.

If that's the case then we don't have a problem.

We had been advised that immigration will only stamp until the expiry date of her passport. smile.pngsmile.png

When presenting at BKK immigration with the old and new passport will they do the transfer of information/stamps or do we do that as a separate exercise after we are back?

Ubonjoe - sincere apologies but I just realised that I omitted a key piece of information.

The visa we have is a multi entry NON-IMMIGRANT O-A.
