Reading that post from Hannah's sister plus the fact she links to the "Anonymous Video" (which you should look at) I believe it is very likely the Witheridge family also believes the B2 are scapegoats. I wonder when they will go public with this view!

That statement by Laura Witheridge would appear to sum up why the family have not spoken about the verdict. It has come as a great relief to hear her speak and I truly hope these frightening revelations from her will come into the media big time and that the investigation will be reopened. It is now time for the British government and Scotland Yard to intervene in my opinion.

But the sister has posted her frustrations on another facebook page, can post the link but not sure if its allowed. The page is called Shucking Korn. I took a screen capture of her posts and deleted her swearing, she must be feeling terrible. God bless her and her family

there is no mention whatsoever of any of that on her own FB page or the other family members pages or any of the friends of them for that matter, yet she posts on an obscure thai FB page that no ones heard of?? to me that would suggest that her page was hacked in someway.

Interesting- that facebook page- Shucking Korn, the name satirizes the former Democrat Korn Chatikawanij - is fiercely red shirt and anti government- I couldn't find Maria's comments on their page, perhaps you could direct me jay jay, thanking in advance.

I think it would be safe to assume they have already, remember they will likely be returning to Koh Tao during the appeals process, if I was the Witheridge family I would be pushing very hard for the UK autopsy report to made public as soon as possible

Anyway the Luke Millar family should also be pushing for the CIFS to get involved and make that request very public, I don't see that as being a problem in Thailand as the family have every right to involve whoever they want, it seems the police have concluded their investigation unless they are going to try and deport Luke Millar for overstaying his visa.

only DM's family can answer that, I do however believe they may change their view when the coroner back home releases their full report on Davids injuries, they may then decide by themselves that what they were told by police in Thailand was basically BS from the start, as of right now it seems the two families and the rest have very different views on the performance of RTP and the deaths of their loved ones on Koh Tao

So you have attended the scene, conducted forensic tests, obtained DNA, found the murder weapon with the offenders prints still visible, established the motive, , obtained witness statements, been involved in the autopsy and are now looking for the offenders. We can expect he matter to be finalised shortly and those responsible charged and put before the courts. Another first for the TVF detectives. Fair Dinkum, how can you come to such a conclusion without supporting evidence and the poor and minimal reporting by the press. Honestly, give some of you an inch and you take a mile.

NOBODY saw him jump

His buddies can (and will I suppose) confirm he wanted to have a few more drinks before going home.........maybe he had his eyes on some chick. There must be CCTV footage of his last whereabouts, unfortunately I am afraid these CCTV footages will not be investigated as the RTP rules out foul play and calls it an "accident". They do say however from CCTV footage he appears to be very drunk. What CCTV footage are they talking about? From the Sunset Bar? From another bar? From an hotel? Of course I am sure he was drunk, but that goes for 95% of all people on Koh Tao partying through the night. Maybe he had some drugs too, as lots of people take there.

More questions......

• Was he in the Sunset Bar around closing time which is 2am according to their own FB site?
• When did the last person leave the Sunset Bar?
• Can anybody easily enter the Sunset bar after they close?
• Does the Sunset Bar switch off their CCTV system?
• Is it possible he got involved in some fight, got a beating was hit with some object, passed out and was dumped in that pool?
• How does the RTP know he jumped of that DJ booth at the Sunset Bar?
• How does the RTP conclude the scratches in his face were from the barbed wire on the roof of that same booth?

Or did he walk home, let's say early in the morning, felt the urgent need to take a dive into a pool, therefore he entered the closed Sunset Bar, climbed on that DJ boot which has a springbrett next to it, cut his face open, still dived all by himself, face down to hit the shallow part of the pool bottom?

Can his sister which some people doubt is for real (I am not one of those but i may be wrong) shine some light on this?

• Has there been contact with his buddies?
• What do they say?
• Where were they drinking?
• When did they go home?
• Did they leave him by himself?
• In what state was he in?
• Was he completely gone?
• Does he have a history of doing crazy things like that when he is totally drunk?

a) ... did the police, THIS TIME, managed to seal up the scene completely (not that "difficult as on the Saree Beach, right?)

... and call the FORENSICs (preferably Dr. Pornthip's office), before messing all up. THIS TIME? (maybe just to "make their point" ... like: "hey, we've learned the lesson. Come down and do your job, we wash our hands now")

Thanks for the insight but tell me how do you know that no police attended the scene. Did they do all their investigating via Skype then had the local civilians take the corpse to Surat Thani for the autopsy. Again, thanks for keeping me abreast of the situation.

Following on from Jane Taupin's excellent piece reported in Bkk post on how the dna process was practically hogwash, this latest fb post from Hannah's sister really nails down the rtp attitude to truth and justice.What a bunch of callous b******ds they are on that island.Let's hope the thread can be reopened soon, the pressure should be maintained from all angles on this miscarriage of justice.

Initially regarding Luke's death i didn't want to join in mob hysteria thinking "here goes, yet another 'murder'?". I thought give benefit of the doubt until the facts are revealed. But then I realised the facts being revealed depended on our trust in the rtp in that dreadful place. Fat chance of the truth coming out if there was anything suspicious relating to his death.

Because whether or not Luke's death was an accident or a murder, it's guaranteed that sooner or later there will be another killing or rape or both. Why? Because the killers of Hannah and David are still there on that island living freely with their gang of cowards. Doubtless it's happened before. Doubtless it will happen again. Because they can kill without fear of conviction, rape with impunity, hidden and protected by corrupted officials and by threat of death to any witnesses or anyone else who can expose their vile practices.

When will people realise that the Thais don't care. It's very simple. It can be an accident, it can be murder it can be a sudden death..they care only if it becomes bothersome...it has been like this since I first stepped off a plane here many years ago..you recognise it, have problems formulating it, but then accept it. BTW, when I refer to Thais, I am referring to their institutions and those in power. As with any other peoples there are good and bad individuals.

Those who try to argue the case for the police are deluded. It's not about justice for a foreigner and never will be. Unfortunately the consequence is that even natural and untimely deaths are viewed with suspicion.

Thailand has an underbelly...but most will not experience it, it is and never has been a safe place for Thais. It use to be safer for foreigners because they were developing tourism etc and the numbers were low , now the violence is no longer kept within the Thais.

It's hard to comprehend for some as they just see the sun, cheap sex and in general the relaxed nature of the place..

Thailand still has many positives but justice for foreigners ain't one of them..

Oh. Was only opened for a matter of minutes. That's a shame. I wouldn't worry though as Laura's statement is likely to go global without the aid of TV.
