PHUKET: -- Out of 86 arrest warrants issued for October’s Phuket riots, just 17 arrests have so far been made Region 8 Police Commander has confirmed. He has also stated that no further warrants will be issued in connection with the incident.

Pol Maj Gen Tesa Siriwato told The Phuket News today (Jan 11), “We have arrested 17 people so far in connection with the riots at Thalang Police Station. Most of those arrested are teenagers who were initially arrested on drug charges.

“They will remain in custody and after their drug cases have been cleared they will further be charged with setting an illegal blockade and gathering 10 or more people together for violent acts and other charges regarding the incident.

When are they going to arrest the police who caused the deaths of those two boys that started the riot? I know, NEVER!

Hope they hurry up a bit with the rest of the suspects as some might die of old age before being caught.

Guess it will mostly be the richer ones who stay out of the hands of law enforcement.

Lots of boys die here every day, and none of them are in the news, well not unless they were special boys with special parents in special neighborhoods with special names.
