Compared to Siberia, it is tropical to them at 17 degrees. My little temp/humidity monitor showed humidity got down to 35%. I should take my guitars to bed with me and breathe heavily on them.

In Pattaya it went down to 18 degrees C overnight. to some that is a warm day.

Myself I had to raid the cupboards to find a jumper..... I had no such luck and my nipples chaffed.

Bangkok it was 16C

I was freezing cold in Hua Hin last night, what amazed me was how many Thais were just wearing t~shirts. I thought they would be colder than myself?

16c in BKK 17c in Patts, boy a heatwave, try 5c overnight and 12.5c during the day here in Loei. With those not wearing shirts, is it the old adage of no sense, no feeling?

You seem to be obsessed with how other guys dress?

Get a life, or come out of the closet.

I'd suggest the above post is bordering on libellous.

Last week a man not so young by the way was refused entry by the guard at Makro Lamai for being shirtless.

He then giggles to his friends and went back to their car to fetch a shirt.

By the way why this kind of middle age people, would choose to go shirtless in a super market?

No muscles or tattoos to exhibit, only beer belly and grey body hair. bah.gif My kaodjy!

It's normally around just over 20 degrees in Tenerife in the winter, ok for shorts etc when I lived there, for some reason it feels colder here. I was out last night and I wore long trousers and a sweater and still felt a bit cold. Remember anything over 20 degrees in the UK is considered a heatwave with a water shortage after a few weeks !

It's so cold outside I just accidentally keyed someone's car with my nipples

yeah, it's disgusting for me too. Most are too illiterate/old to learn. Muscle shirt is another disgusting outfit. I wonder if they would walk into M&S in London in that outfit? Probably they would. No education, no brain, no manners.

I am more obsessed with how they don't dress. These fat, ugly, hairy, ignoramases going around with no shirts on are a disgrace.

That is one time I would like to see these ugly b@stards get a right doing from a few Thai guys for showing such disrespect to Thailand.

Chaffed nipples. Get some proper underwear on you and stop complaining.

I find bra's to be uncomfortable.

So that's why a lot of these over muscled monkeymen don't wear Bras.

Well done to that guard, if only all security guards did the same.

It was 18 degrees in Pattaya yesterday morning and felt cold to me, I've been here 4 years...but let's say Brit's here, 18 degrees (approx' 65 fahrenheit) is reasonably mild to them, when I lived in the UK, 65 had us rushing to the parks or the beach.

Just saying

Cheers

happy pattaya man.

Most farangs care that it is an affront to Thai society to go without a shirt....

Some farangs plain just do not give a shi*t about that and most everything & anybody else......

Unforunately you are in an area where affronts are in vogue - from all sides....

I doubt that you would find many Thais in Jomtien (a beach town) who are affronted by seeing a white guy in the street with no shirt.

Plenty of shirtless Thai men in Jomtien too.

Ok i dont think that topless is apropriate anywhere else than the beach or the pool and the immediate area around those 2. Also i dont think a tanktop/wifebeater is propper attire anywhere but the 2 before mentioned places and the Gym. And that goes for anywhere in the world.

But i dont understand the need to make threads about it on a forum, just think to yourself those guys makes me look so much better in the local society. But from what i understand it was 16-17c at night and when you come from northern Europe that would just about constitute a tropical night (20c is the definition here in Denmark). So if you are a tourist it has not been freezing it has simply been a bit colder. Actually in december i saw a guy here in Denmark in shorts and T-shirt and it was not warmer than 5c. Also not everyone really care about alle the health warnings, i mean these days it seems like you will die if you are outside at noon without beeing totally coveres up and wearing factor 5000 sunblock yet sunbathing dont garantere skin cancer it just raises your chances to get it. Personally i do cover up but that mainly because otherwise i get red like a boiled lobster.

It's cold in Surin too and snowing in N. Vietnam and Laos. Heck was thinking of lighting a firepit in yard. Yes, I hate cold weather after growing up in Eastern America. Anyway, People seem to dress the way their friends dress in my opinion. So if one loses the shirt they all will. Maybe too much whiskey in the bones..smile. I've learned over the years to worry about family and me....bottom line: if these guys want to freeze or are otherwise happy..."up to them"

Btw guys: this is my first post although I've been reading TV for last few years. Retired Air Force and happy here! Cheers Fella"s
