On Taxi service

Featured Replies

I'm going to divert from the usual pissing and moaning ,and from Thai Bashing and report I have noticed a MARKED improvement in Taxi service. I haven't been refused a ride in well over 3 months now. I even got a free ride to main road by a taxi driver who's shift was ending while heading from immigration, got out of cab on main road and in cab behind us simply amazing. Only complaint is weather lately has been a tad on the chilly side well can't have everything. Will be trying online reporting later this week will write how that goes for a non thechy old man.

Try getting a cab outside central world/pratunam area and see how it goes

Like everything in life, there are good and bad everywhere and in every country on this earth and Thailand

is no different, over all, living in this country as long as I have, Thai taxi drivers aren't so bad at all, again,

depend on the locations and time of day, we had very bad experience in Pattaya in front of a 5 star hotel

trying to get a ride to central Pattaya, in general, if you hail a taxi on an ordinary street you would be

treated well.....

I have found that taxi's outside of hotels sometimes have set rates to wher you want to go.I usually take A walk hail one off the street

And make out A lot better.

I haven't had too many problems lately either. But then last night had a problem getting a taxi from Tha Tien around eight pm.
