Writing my article Human evolution, I could not help but wonder what would happen if humans degenerated down the evolutionary ladder. Below is my vision of this chilling subject. Be warned that it will not be pretty but make you shiver and cold to the bone. Sensitive persons are advised to look away while reading this essay, or at least drink a good strong cup of coffee before proceeding, and to ascertain that the phone numbers of the emergency services are at hand.

The modal population I.Q.'s given are my estimations and may still need fine-tuning, but the broad order of events will inevitably be as follows:

Imagine a highly technological society with a modal I.Q. around 100, where various causes — dysgenics, immigration, Marxism, possibly natural disaster — begin to shift this mode downward. Imagine that one fails to counteract this.

By what mechanism does anyone argue immigration, Marxism or natural disaster might cause the modal IQ to fall?

There's plenty of evidence of inbreeding causing brain development problems, and sound arguments that natural disasters create stresses in which intelligence is an advantage to survival. As for political systems, well unless they start identifying intelligent people and executing them, I say your whole post is hogwash.

Interestingly, a German colleague of mine (in 1980) stated "This is the last civilization of human beings, on this planet". Sigh!

This has already happened in the Middle East. The result of multiple generations of inbreeding.
