International Calling on Computer with New Phone Number

Recommended Posts

What site or company will allow me to make international calls cheap AND give me a phone number or have unknown shown in the other person's caller id?

I only need Voice calls, I do NOT need video.

I heard Google hangouts gives a phone number, but you can't use this service in Thailand. Is that true?

I need to make calls only using my computer which is an HP Windows computer.

Thank you for your help.

Where will you be calling? North America?

If so... MAGICJACK

It is available as a phone app

I have a MagicJack that I have used successfully here in Thailand for 7 or 8 years but the cell phone app is pure crap, IMHO

The OP can get a free Google voice number, or a paid SKYPE number and buy a USB phone so you don't have to wear headphones and a mic

As long as you have a Google account you can get a Google voice number here in Thailand with ease and the same for SKYPE

I only obtained the Google Voice number at the suggestion of a fellow TV member so that I could receive OTP's from a US Bank that suddenly required a text enabled cell phone number in my profile. Google voice satisfies that requirement since SMS's just show up on my computer and via an email

Thank you for the replies.

I will mostly be calling Australia and New Zealand.

Is Magic Jack good for calls there?

Looks like the 3 choices are Skype, Google and Magic Jack

Try smart voip,

This application works well with all platforms,

Can be installed in PC desktop, laptop Window, iPhone, iPad or any else,

The virtue of this program also gives free calls to 25 countries, USA, Canada ect, and Thailand is among them too,

You have to option to display or hide you mobile that registered with the account,

Buying online credits at 10 euros and above,

Calling to Australia or NZ will cost you so cheap rate,

This is for only voice call and sms services if you wish,

I guess this is all what you exactly need,

I am using this application for many years ago,

Try it, if any issues reply here or PM, I will assist you, cheers!
