Non Immigrant O Visa multi entry - work permit?

Hello.

I am currently based in Thailand on a multi entry non immigrant O visa. Can anyone let me know if this specific visa type (multi entry) can support a work permit? I understand the continuous one year Non O visa can support a work permit but I am unsure about the multi entry variety.

What is your non-o visa based upon?

If is based upon marriage you can get a work permit and work while on it.

Same if based upon working as a volunteer.

Thanks - it is based on marriage. Someone mentioned that the non o visa had to be in the one year continuous form though rather than multi - entry. I can't find any info, however, on the interweb..

You don't have to be on a one year extension to get the work permit and work, You can do it with a multiple entry non-o visa also.

As Joe said, both Non Imm O and Extensions of stay based on marriage can support a WP.

Probably referring to an extension of stay, not a visa.

Hello ubonjoe, do you have a link with thai language which states that because the company lawyer got told by a BOI officer I needed to convert to a B visa.
