Siem Reap police say they are waiting on an arrest warrant from the National Police before taking steps to locate and apprehend convicted Dutch pedophile Pieter Ceulen, who Siem Reap residents placed in town 11 days ago, the very day he was sentenced in Belgium. The apparent inaction comes amid unconfirmed claims by an attorney for a Belgian child protection organisation that Ceulen is seeking Cambodian citizenship.

So far, neither Belgian nor Cambodian authorities have confirmed that Ceulen, who is wanted by Interpol and owns properties in Cambodia, had returned to the Kingdom. However, according to neighbours living on the same street in Siem Reap, he was seen arriving at his villa on January 21, the same day he was sentenced in absentia to 19 years in prison by a Belgian court for sexual assault and producing child pornography in Cambodia and the Philippines.

Back in Belgium they are too busy to clean up the jihadist mess in Brussels, Molenbeek and vicinity..... So for now a pedophile far away has to wait!!!

i think the authorities are very lax in this case he has been found guilty of producing child pornography in cambodia and the philipines yet he is allowed to walk free in cambodia .

I think you will find this is big news in Cambodia and all those in authority that need to be aware, are aware.

This will get dealt with. Many times the documentation can be a bit slow arriving and sometimes the translations and paperwork has to be just so to follow on and make an arrest.

Cambodian authorities could care less about pedos. That's why paedo's go there

It would take extensive news coverage and intervention with foreign law enforcement for any hope of arrest

I am in Siem Reap all the time and this story is a hot topic.. The guy, his movements, his addresses ( he owns a couple of properties ) have all been reported back. His name and photos are all over the Cambodian forums and details of his crimes.It has also already made the Cambodian news both TV and print.( google it )

APLE the French NGO is deeply involved in this case and they have considerable power and success in this area of paedophila and has won many cases. However, their main interest in this one is getting him out of Cambodia.
