I was wondering if anyone could tell me if there are any issues with posting small items from the UK to Thailand?

I'm after a Kindle and a Chromecast but they seem to be more expensive here (I saw Chromecast's listed on Craigslist for 5000THB when they're only about 1000-1500 back home), so I was going to get a friend back home to order them and send them to me.

Is the parcel likely to be stopped for import duty or anything even though the items are for personal use?

Send by registered airmail, declare as gift, send to Thai name if possible, almost no risk to pay customs duty.
