Well, another miracle (or story) happened.

How can a toddler survive without water for six days and hunger would have this poor child crying. This boy can walk and hence there must be much more to this illustrious Thai fairy tale than what meets the eye giggle.gif

First he was found 10km away from his house, now he was found behind his house? Which is it? Glad that he has been found though.

the wife has just told me that he was found near a hut with food and water, but sadly he needs a blood trans.mossy infection.

Pretty amazing something or someone did not harm the child in the 6 days he was missing...hope he fully recovers and learns his lesson...it is best to stay home with mom and dad as long as you can...it can be a dangerous and cruel world outside the security of the home for a young child...

PHUKET: -- The three years and nine months toddler, Jesadakorn Chaiyo or Nong DJ, who went missing from his parents’ home in Phuket six days ago and was found yesterday in the bushes behind his house on Tuesday by a search and rescue team, is now in the intensive care unit of the Vachira Phuket hospital after doctors suspected he suffers blood infection.

The hospital is now seeking for donation of Group A blood type for his treatment.

DJ was examined by doctors at Vachira Phuket hospital and he was found to have several body wounds.

His two legs also were found to be darkened as if they are decomposing after the boy lied on the stream for several days.

There are also numerous traces of skin bites from insects and mosquitoes, and the boy was very exhausted, dehydrated as he had no food and water for several days.

This caused him to suffer blood infection and needed blood in the treatment, according to official of the Missing People Centre of Mirror Foundation.

Meanwhile Phuket police said they still do not rule out kidnap attempt on the boy, as well as getting lost.

They said they will question the boy after he fully recovers.

The boy’s mother, Ms Saowalak Chaiyo, an employee at a shopping mall in Phuket appealed for help in the social media after he left home in Tambon Vichit of Muang district on February 3 and did not show up.

A search and rescue mission was launched by police, the Mirror Foundation and villagers in the missing boy’s community. The search failed to locate the young boy for six days until yesterday when the search team focused its effort on the bushes behind the boy’s house where he was found.

The boy’s dog was the first to detect him and led rescue team to find him in the bushes.

PHUKET: -- Wichit Police are not yet satisfied with the few answers they have as to how 3-year-old boy Jessadakorn Chaiyo, or “Nong DJ”, came to be lost in the jungle behind his home, or how the toddler survived for six days in the wild.

Nong DJ was found by search teams in jungle about tree kilometres from his family’s home on Kwang Rd, Wichit, yesterday morning (Feb 9).

He is now recovering at Vachira Phuket Hospital in Phuket Town, where he is under constant observation and treatment for exposure.

Wichit Police Chief Col Kittipong Klaikaew told The Phuket News, “For now, there are many theories as to what happened. The main theory right now is that the boy just wandered off and got lost in the jungle behind his house.”
