I lost my SCB bank card. Well I didn't lose it. I left it in an atm machine when I was out drinking the other night.

Can I go to any SCB branch to get a replacement? Or the branch I opened up with? Will they give me a replacement there and then or will it be posted out to me?

I trust you have already reported it? I am with Kasikorn locally and know they will give me new card on the spot in any branch on production of my passport and bank book. Hopefully SCB will do the same.

Go to any branch, they will call their hotline and block the card. They will also issue you a new card, replacement cost 100B.

Most ATM machines will suck up a card after a few seconds if you don't take it right away. If it was a SCB machine, they should be able to confirm if the card was indeed eaten by the machine.

As said, go to a SCB branch. It would be best to go to your "home" branch, but if that's not convenient, then any branch would do. I know the ones in Kad Suan Kaew mall and near Sompet market are foreigner friendly. Be sure to bring your passport and your old one, too, if you opened the account with a previous passport.

First you need to go to the police and report the missing ATM card, then the bank will replace it but there may be a charge of perhaps 2 or 300 baht. That is what KBank charged me last time.

No, go to the bank first, they might have it as suggested above. And if not, give instructions.

^This.

No need to go to police. (Police report is required only in the event you misplace/lose your bank book or complain about irregular and suspicious withdrawals).

Go to any bank branch and ask for new ATM card.

Oh, remember to take Bank Book and id/passport.

Good luck.

It depends on the bank. I left mine in a machine at the bank. When IO went into the bank the next day they did not have it. They told me they send all of them to Bangkok. Got a new card and it cost me 100 baht. Bear in mind branches of the same bank might have different approaches. they don't always follow the procedures the Bank asks for.

Thanks for your replies. I went to the SCB bank in KSK ( Go to the police? I don't think so.) they replaced my card for ฿100. I just showed them my Bank Book, Passport and filled out a couple of forms.

Saves me a lot of bother, I got it all done on the QT saving the inevitable interrogation from the Mrs. 555

Yeah, I thought I could get away with that once only to discover that both ATM cards were somehow in Hubby's name and I had to confess to him because our "home" branch wouldn't issue a new one to me, even though I was the one who left it in an ATM machine.

Sorry if I'm not well in English. I'm Thai. First of all, you should ring to call center to stop or cancel for the last ATM card . Then go to police station to inform about you lost it, and take document from policeman to go to branch office /where is the place you did the old ATM card to get the new one.
