Going home soon and debating whether to send money via western union or exchange at Super Rich. I think the exchange rate at Western Union is about 47baht to the pound plus fee. Any recommendations as to which should be better? Can't use PayPal. Won't bore you as to why.

Superrich should be the better option. Western Union makes money by charging you a fee and by giving you a less favorable exchange rate. (When sending money, in their fine print, they mention that they also make money through currency exchange rates.)

I doubt the rate you quoted in the OP is accurate vis-a-vis Western Union's "sell" rate for GBP....it's probably their "buy" rate. Western Union is not going to sell you GBP for 47 thb each. (If that were the case, you could buy GBP at Western Union for 47thb and then convert them back to thb elsewhere for 50.5 thb per GBP.)

I suspect that Western Union would charge you upwards of 52 thb/GBP and charge you a fee. At Superrich, the current sell rate for GBP is 50.8 thb/GBP and no fee.

The downside to using Superrich, obviously, is having to carry around the cash.
