Are you joking?

A 100 THB price blip?

It changes that much in the time it took you to post this.

Isn't that less that 1/2 of one percent?

I think their intent is to make us think gold is going down.

It's the end of the month : options expiring : fraudulent paper market always gets knocked down. This time not a lot (yet), but Silver got hammered. Depending on the outcome of the G 20 , Gold will most likely get smashed Monday morning , = Sunday night in the US.

Don't have to be Einstein to see that coming: Oil goes up, gold down. The shyster dealers don't care, buy or sell in any commodity they get their commission and their obscene bonuses.

I think there is some error in your logic.

The past 2 years oil went down and gold went down also.

The 3 years before that, oil went up and gold went up as well.

Indeed. I should have qualified it as a short term reaction.

Will be lots of girls working at beer bars selling off their trinkets. coffee1.gif

Sterotyping bs. If it wasn't for beer bar girls tourism in Thailand would be non-existent. 99% are trying to pay off family debts. Have a heart.

Think before you post.

You should take that in consideration yourself, because we are not talking about the US or some other poor countries pictured in your post. We're talking about THAILAND and the tourist areas in particular.

I don't disagree with your assessment. However, when it comes to gold, the ladies (and not just bar girls) are looking for tangible security. The gold goes into a hidey hole...The cash is metered back to the village.

Yes the G20 will come out with a well orchestrated we are all the the same page glowing statement complete with a group picture with everyone smiling and the markets will go nuts for a day or two and gold will fall. Its a story that has played out over and over again. All the go go market junkies will pick up on this as being positive. Gold made a good move and needs time to digest/consolidation. Yes paper gold is a fraud blatantly so. All the negatives like the Baltic Dry Index at a super low, China's stock market and economy manipulation, money fleeing the country by the billions, Phony stock buy backs and dropping earnings, China keeps saying the transition to a market economy smoothly and all the trained seals clap and cheer it really is getting to be a repetitive tiring boring game. The truth is in the information given out by Wal-mart, Cat, high end clothing stores, HP, the big banks especially the European ones are spinning out some real disasterous numbers shocking at best. Then throw in the circus of the GOP presidential run and the ducks are all lined up in a row for disaster.

So the remaining 1% are doing it for fun/have no option/couldn't be arsed to work a proper job in a factory, or was that 99? Few are likely enslaved in the trade in Thailand, rather many are drawn by the relative easy ('big') money as an unskilled trade as much as they might feel obliged to make coin for family. Agree that 'tourism' would be down if it weren't for them, but, of gold, it is typically acquired for the face value over its real worth.
