I'm not a farmer but I used to be and I thought this would be the right place to ask

about where to get a decent weather forecast in Thailand.

The TV just says x% chance of rain which doesn't do me much good.

So what do you use.

I use the thai visa site as well as tmd site for reference.

I've kept records here for 12 years, going between them and looking out the window are better than being let down by the other sites in the tropics.

I find AccuWeather quite good as a rough guide.

The weather, in this area at least, can be very localised. We often have heavy rain 2 kilometres away while it is dry here and vice-versa. That's why I would not rely too much on a forecast.

If you like smartphones, WeatherPro by Meteo is the most accurate forecast you will get up to 14 days in advance.

Their forecasts are dependent on local weather stations, the closer you are to one, the better your forecast.

I was using www.yr.no. but it's not accurate even though we are less

than a kilometer away from the weather station.

I will try the ones recommended and see if they are any better.

Thanks.
