I don't know if I can post the link to the article but I will below. It was in a major Thai newspaper. Basically a Thai man and his daughter died in Merritt Island, Florida. Don't know if it is a murder suicide or what. But the article bears some reading. The article details how the wife married a US guy so she could stay, then divorced him, and along the way they did a lot of other immigration things along the way. Probably not bad people but they ran afoul of the US laws, the family got split up, the young girl now having spent a lot of time growing up in the states had a hard time living back in Thailand, etc. I think they were confident they could just keep paying and things would work out. But paying a US lawyer is not the same as paying some immigration officials to get things done.
