Various educationalists and activists are expressing concerns about the thinking behind the junta's vision for Thailand's educational future.

The reduction of free compulsory schooling from 12 years to only nine years will worsen education inequality in the country,

To which might be be added:

"Be critical of those who criticize the nation"

Sounds catchy doesn't it?

But it really isn't anything to laugh about. Their ambition is to further intensify their efforts to create their version of the Hitler Youth, Konsomol or Opera Nazionale Balilla.

That's where they want to go, and there's only one way to stop them.

I'm so glad I'm not invested here.
