Good morning gentleman

I am hew to this forum but have been going to Thailand since 1990

Unfortunately I got married to a Thai woman in 1996 and it's all down hill from there

We got divorced in 2011 and this divorce was finalised in Bangkok with a settlement attached to the divorce

Could somebody please tell me if a copy of the settlement is kept with the divorce papers at the amphur as she is now trying to claim there was no settlement and how I could get this paper

Thank you in advance

You should have received 2 documents when you divorced.

1. Khor Ror 7 Certificate of Divorce

2. Khor Ror 6 Registration of Divorce.

Any settlement agreed during the divorce should be listed as an addendum on the back of the Registration of Divorce document.

The original Registration of Divorce document is held at the umphur where you divorced.

If you have lost your copy of the Registration of Divorce, you will need to make a police loss report and take that report to the umphur where they will issued stamped copies of the Registration of Divorce Khor Ror 6.

The cost of the police report and copies of the Khor Ror 6 are minimal. The umphur will not issue a replacement Certificate of Divorce. The stamped copies of the Registration of Divorce are accepted by Thai courts in place of the divorce certificate.
