Founder of Mae Pranom nam prik phao seeks justice from government

BANGKOK: The founder of the wellknown Mae Pranom nam prik phao (roasted chilli paste) lodged a petition seeking justice from the public service centre of the Prime Minister’s Office today (Friday).

Mrs Pranom Daengsupa, a founder of Pibulchai Nam Prik Phao Thai Mae Pranom Company, claimed in her petition that her business was taken over by her eldest daughter and son-in-law and, lately, she was kicked out of her own house.

She said that she had trust in her eldest daughter and let her run the family’s business on behalf of the family for several years until after her husband, Mr Sirichai, died in 2013.

Two years after the death of her husband, Mrs Pranom alleged that her eldest daughter, in collusion with her husband, forged the signature of her husband in a letter of attorney entrusting the nam prik phao business to her daughter.

All the shareholders’ names in the company which included herself, Mr Sirichai and the rest of the family except the eldest daughter were deleted from the company’s profile.

Mrs Pranom also said that she took the case to the court but to no avail and decided to seek justice from the government instead.

Comments from her eldest daughter and son-in-law were not available.

HOT subject in that household gives a new meaning to inheritance

not wanting to wait, take it all now.

greed can be so overpowering for some people

forgetting where they came from is just part of the journey to feed constantly at the trough.

so maybe no justice for mum due to laws and paper work,

one can really hope that the daughter does re- incarnate as a PIG

"...her business was taken over by her eldest daughter and son-in-law and, lately, she was kicked out of her own house."

TIT...10,000 baht paid in merit during Songkran should be enough to ease the daughter's and her husband's consciences. If this is the way some woman treats her own family of origin, why is it any wonder that farang boyfriends are thrown under the bus on a daily basis?

Not saying all Thai women are like this. In fact, not even close to a majority. However, there are enough to not check them out before you allow them access to everything.

Have a read about the Koch brothers. Two of them in particular.

They make this family look like the Waltons.

Hope you mean the TV Waltons and not the WalMart family.

Of course, I am sure there are many here who believe that the Koch and Walton families must be the most pious people on earth in order to have amassed such wealth. Such is the evolution of religion from its original intended goals.

Hmm, now then, there's a thing.

The office / factory is around Phuthamonthon Sai 3, this past year it looks like a new house is coming up beside their old one. My relatives actually met one of the daughters before as they bought some overstock wood from them over 10 years ago when my relative and Maepranom family was building their house at the same time - contact was given by the wood seller. Also been inside their house too during their open house.

nice daughter ..... thainess ! blink.png

I didn't realize the kids of Australia's richest woman, Gina Reinhart, were Thai.

The Rinehart family has just spent the last four years fighting each other for the billions at stake. Millions were not enough for them obviously. They even made a television series about it.

Yeah, thainess, sure. A farang would never do such a thing!

I wont be able to eat my fave squid dish without some schadenfreude now. Recipe for disaster being rich in Thailand.

The son-in-law looks like a greasy weasel and the daughter has that look about her too. I know we're not supposed to judge a book by its cover but some people exude character. Sad for the mother to have to deal with such a despicable offspring.

At the minute, it is a one sided story. As someone said earlier, you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover, even if both of them look dodgy doesn't necessarily mean that they are. Their side needs to be listened to as well.

I have to think that if the judicial system (no matter how you regard it) did not accept the complaint/accusation, following the laws of the land, then how can the government overturn that ruling?

And yes, i know it is Thailand........................wink.png

Not just Thailand.

Happens everywhere.

l am the eldest of 5 sons & Dad & l built a house in which my mother still lives.

And its on 9 acres of land on the edge of a substantial town.

A developer's dream.

Dad is dead & Mother lives alone in the house.

Already there are plots & counter-plots from my brothers to see who gets the house & land.

Worst of all are the some of the daughters-in-law who have DEMANDED that "us boys grow some balls, put your mother in a home & sell her land".

The cheek of the <deleted>. l've had words with them all & are quite disgusted.

The more l see people, the more l like cats.

What some free speaking people would call a right couple of nam priks.

I have lost money before to people I trusted in Thailand.

They were Farangs.
