PHUKET: -- A thief or thieves were unsuccessfully in their attempt to rob a Bangkok Bank ATM of its cash in Soi Nanai, Patong in the early hours of this morning (Mar 28).

Kathu Police were informed of an incident where an ATM at a Bangkok Bank Express Banking unit on Soi Nanai had unsuccessfully been broken into at 1am.

Patthapee Srichai, an investigator from Kathu Police said that it was likely that the attempted theft was carried out by amateurs and was made on the spur of the moment.
