Can't say I have noticed slow internet here in Kata ..

Thanks.

My internet has been snail slow at times (grey 'doing something' icon rather than the green 'actually doing something icon' , but back to normal speed a few minutes later.

It must just be TOT and where I live in Rawai.

Over the past weeks there are endless complaints about slow internet from various regions.

Be it ToT, True or 3BB.

Maybe I could find a dozen threads with examples.

You could argue there will always be slow internet complaints wink.png

Be more specific!

What provider?

To what servers/sites (examples) in what countries?

Did you do measurements?

Also replies should at least contain some basic info of this kind.

If my internet is also slow I am very glad with a thread like this. Just general information would be fine to tell me it is not my computer but a more widespread issue.

yep krabi has had the same problem last 2 weeks, one hotel i know usually running at 15 meg download is getting 2 meg and its will not keep a steady speed.

My TOT service has been generally slow for the past week or so. International sites being much slower than Domestic, with ping response times about 5 times longer.

Running the Edge browser on Win10 was excruciatingly slow, so I switched over to Chrome and saw a huge improvement. Still a little slow, but nowhere near as slow as Edge (which also has big compatibility issues with sites such as Yahoo Mail). My guess is that Edge is doing a lot of internet access in the background, which makes overall performance degrade greatly when on a slow internet connection.
