Cider in Villa Market

Featured Replies

Anyone into cider Villa have a Thai made cider called Moose in 330 ml bottles, all the Thai produced ciders I've tried have been like Spy wine cooler but this actually tastes like cider at 49 baht per bottle, tastes a bit like Gayners Cider. Hope they keep on selling it.

My little place sells 2 brands of cider, one called 'Savannah' from South Africa and the other called 'Bruntys', English apparently but brewed in England and bottled in Cambodia of all places. The apple and pear versions are ok but the strawberry flavoured one needs a bit lot more work. I buy for 60B/bottle. Never heard of Moose. Savannah is quite sweet.

Thanks. Will give these a try. My wife is refusing to allow me to buy wine at the Rip-Off Prices charged here.

.... ah yes... for a quiet life, I obey her...................... (Sometimes.)

tell your wife to mind her own business and buy what you like, wine starts at around 259 baht, hardly a rip off

TV own self appionted cider waller,go to western foods see MMOSE CIDER.

Casino's Cidre De Normandie Brut at about Baht 150 (75 cl - 4.5% vol.) ain't cheap but is available from some Big C's in an attractive bottle and tastes pretty good, IMHO.

Not applicable to everyone but the Robin Hood has a lot of ciders.

They were recently selling Cornish Orchard draught for 99 baht a pint, all day every day.

It's finished now after a few weeks on offer.

Brew it yourself and maintain the quality, it ain't rocket science
