Bought a can at 7-11 yesterday, 490 ml. 49baht. can says malt and riceberry lager. Alc.5% Nice graphic design on the can , brown and gold retro style.

The beer: color a light brown similar to Newcastle brown. Taste, less taste than expected from color but rather nice (this IS Thai beer, so expectations low) no objectionable aftertastes. I drank it with food so that had an affect.

I think this was inspired by and meant to compete with the popularity of beer Lao Dark which is colored by and brewed with black sticky rice.

Lao dark is 6.5% Alc. and stronger flavor but more expensive.

Conclusion from one can ... i don't know if I could really distinguish it from other Thai beer in a blind test, but it was smooth and drinkable ... caveat, what beer doesn't taste good ice cold in 40degree heat.?

will need to try it again.

Just noticed this at the local 7-11; worth the money as far as I am concerned. Try it now because for 40 baht you could do much worse and it is supposedly brewed only for a short period of time.
