Baidu under investigation by Chinese regulators

BEIJING: -- Regulators in China are investigating Baidu over the death of a student who used the search engine to look up cancer treatments.


Wei Zexi, aged 21, a computer science student at Xidian University, died last month of a rare form of cancer.

Shares slumped in the US on news of an investigation, with Baidu's Nasdaq-listed shares falling 7.92%.

I can think of 1000 reasons to investigate Baidu and their ultra intrusive software.

This ain't one of them.

The CCP probably doesn't want anyone to know about the ones I'd be looking for.

by anychance, do you know anything about baidu... and what it did... in mid february? was wondering if anyone knows/cares about thailand data leak in feb. (and the series of strange events that would result in such.) Wait, can i go to jail for pointing this out?
