Strange information received today.

Featured Replies

Today, while discussing with my house owner about the troubles immigration use to make now for everybody, my landlord said to me to wait a few more years.

After a few years, my child would have the age of independence from the parents.
So, she could be the one renting/owning the house and apply for a Visa for taking care of her foreign father.

The first Visa would be granted for 1 year.

This Visa can be extended for 2 more years.

Another extension would be granted for 7 years.

After these 7 years (10 years in total) no visa has to be applied anymore and I can stay in Thailand as long as I want.

Not sure about reporting every 90 days.

Has anybody else information about this?

So basically he pitched you on the next 5-10 years worth of rent.

Think your landlord needs to purchase a new crystal ball!

Does your landlord work for the Immigration Dept ?
