Options for a Chinese National to obtain SETV in neighboring countries

Recommended Posts

The history:

2015

Obtained a SETV in China, stayed for about 1 week in the kingdom.

2016

Obtained a SETV in China, stayed for about 1 week

Obtained a 2nd SETV in China, extended for 30 days (90 days in total). The allowance of stay will end in the beginning of June.

What will be a good plan to obtain more SETV in neighboring countries and where should that be?

In September a short trip to China is planned anyway.

Although annoying, I think the only practical option is to fly back to China for a fresh tourist visa. Even Hong Kong is not an option unless you have a resident card. You probably have a better sense than we do of the best city to do the application. If the Thai consulates in China impose restrictions on issuing further tourist visas, can you please post to let us know.

Hello, I am also interested to know if a Chinese person really needs to apply for a tourist visa or education visa in China ?

This person will be allowed to stay 90 days in Thailand thanks to extension ?

Thank you.

Chinese nationals if they want a Thai visa must apply in China.

I would suggest you read this thread from the beginning.

Thank you, but as you can guess I read it.

I am asking if any other possibility than going back to China.

Actually I would suggest that YOU read it as nowhere it is written if a Chinese can stay 90 days in Thailand thanks to extension.

So the SETV visa for Chinese is a 2 months visa and can be extended 1 month for 1900 thb ?

It seems that it is possible to apply from abroad, at least for Chinese with connections, but I will confirm if I get a definitive reply.

But Chinese can also get a METV it seems ?

and then extend each entry ?

Thank you.

A single entry tourist visa allows a 60 day entry that can be extended for 30 days at an immigration office for a fee of 1900. There are few nationalities that only get a 30 day entry and others that cannot get the 30 day extension but China is not one of them.

You might find a embassy or consulate somewhere in the world that will issue a visa but no nearby location will do it unless a legal resident of the country where they are located.
