Russian wildfires continue to rage

MOSCOW: -- Wildfires have continued to rage in Russia’s Far East and Siberia, fanned by hot and dry weather.

Some of the flames have reached a farm and destroyed buildings around a school.

Large areas of forest have gone up in flames in the region, where a state of emergency was declared a week ago.

Extra fire crews were flown into the Amur region this week, in an effort to contain the fires.

Other parts of the world are recording the most rainfall in decades, year to date. In fact all time record amounts have been verified, since record keeping was started on a professional basis. Especially in the midwest US, in what many refer to as the dryland area.

That's just the effects of the man made climate change .

Scientists have predicted that for years .

And it's just the beginning ...

The massive El Nino pattern that started in 2014 and peaked in the last half year has absorbed far greater amounts of water as vapor into the atmosphere than normally possible.

The issue will next be: "Where will that water precipitate out?" ...because that will be what happens as the current El Nino shifts to neutral or even La Nina weather patterns. A cooler atmosphere can not hold aloft the water vapor - so record rainfall is ahead. The problem will also be that it is unlikely to be evenly distributed rainfall, so there will be many floods in the coming months - around the world.
