Interested as well.....but I though Hotshots and Bubbles had been closed for a few years now. I used to go there regularly, then it closed for a while and I sought of gave up waiting. Not even the Thais I used to go with go there any more.

Both Hot Shot and Bubbles are on-again off-again kind of places. Bubbles had another spell not too long ago but is closed now, too.

Chances are the Porn Ping people will give it another go at some point, which could be interesting if they try to come up with something that pulls in their Chinese guests.

I think if there were a replacement somewhere it would have been discussed extensively here and other places. My guess is that the companionship so many seek has dispersed to many other places. Either that or they've all become nuns.

The trouble with looking for companionship on the internet is that you can spend a lot of time coming to an arrangement with someone without knowing if the profile and picture are accurate, or even being certain of the sex of the other party. So I've been told.

Hot shots has been closed for ages and what a shame it was a fun venue. To my knowledge there is no real alternative but still plenty of fun to be had in CM if you search.

There are a couple of very similar venues to Hotshots in Chiang Rai (a few km's out of town) Bit of a trek for a night out but i think it is occasionally worth the bus trip to get a change of scenery to spend a few nights in CR, especially if you combine with a border run.

You talking about 'Take It' Club. Yes they charge 200 baht if i remember well, but this covers the entry and mixers for the all night.

Same for Thais and Farangs. Good pick up place.

Good View is also not too bad to pick up someone older than student's age, but costs more effort.

I realize this is getting off-topic, but some people are very naive about how "free" works on the internet.

Thaivisa is an old fashioned, low-tech internet service and it makes money in a manner similar to the way newspapers do, it sells advertising space based on an educated guess of what kind of people use Thaivisa. But it does sell consumer data in a basic sense.

Facebook, Amazon, "free" apps that require personal information and location data (dating apps), and many other "free" services have similar statements in their privacy policies.
