May 14, 201610 yr Oh, the irony. irony ? I grew up in a part of the world where bombs guns and murder on the streets was a part of my childhood and in fact most of my life, I know exactly what conflict is and I also know how it starts and how it is propagated, you think I don't know what is going on in this country - I am probably one of the most qualified here to see it for what it is, there is evil at work in Thailand and it needs to be very carefully managed Hmm most qualified ? There is no doubt that remark is way, way off the mark. However I do agree with you, evil is at work in Thailand and they need to be carefully managed. Not by limiting their human rights, but by incarcerating them in a prison, after due process of course. However I don't think you and me are referring to the same people, you are referring to people that aren't above the law, whilst I am referring to the ones that are above the law, make the law and run this country. Most qualified ? You have your eyes shut and you haven't got a clue what is really going on.
May 14, 201610 yr Everything the junta does violates Thai people rights. They can either get used to it or stand up en masse to the junta and remove these clowns once and for all. unfortunately as much as I hate to say it but there are quite a few mouths that need to be silenced and their activities kept in check in Thailand - that is the reality What about yourself? Are you OK with being "silenced" and having your "activities kept in check"? Everyone on this planet has their activities checked, so it really depends what I am doing whether I deserve it or not, what a stupid question

I wait for the day the Thai public rise up in vast numbers against the Hichahorhip. Unfortunately, the mostly passive non independent rational thinking population aren't that way inclined or up to the task. Well trained sheep. I wish I were wrong.

Backup your claims of your vast supremecy, or don't make such purile claims. Argue the case, not the person ad hominem. Why would anyone just accept your word that you are the most qualified? As to what is really going on, it's been explained many times before. Up to the date of his last column, check out vorani's bkkpost Sunday column for some background and opening up if what is otherwise behind closed doors. The stuff is out there, if you look for it. Big picture...power games and crown matters, big event coming up, said it all before folks.

May 14, 201610 yr Everything the junta does violates Thai people rights. They can either get used to it or stand up en masse to the junta and remove these clowns once and for all. unfortunately as much as I hate to say it but there are quite a few mouths that need to be silenced and their activities kept in check in Thailand - that is the reality you never "hate to say it" you love saying it and we have heard you "say it" again and again we all know your unequivocal support for the unelected Junta and THAT is the reality All know you LOVE corrupt peoples and child killers...... Personally I prefer a government who work for the country and not for the interest of a convict...... You like to use the world unelected junta but you not want regonize that your supreme leader who fled the country like a cowardly dog, destroyed the country during his magistracy, he destroyed the various principles of democracy for its own convenience, ie check and balance. What to think of a Prime Minister racketeer who blithely confuses his pocket and the coffers of the state, which continues to manage its business while governing the country, ordering militias execution without trial of thousands of so-called traffickers at its "war on drugs", which seeks to place nephews and uncles to key posts in the army and police, which amends the law in the interests of its companies and distorting competition? Finally vote buying is not considered an act of democracy but of electoral corruption The election of Thaksin that some find legitimate and democratic despite the massive purchase of votes, and "grants" clothing distributed (1 million THB per village) on the eve of the second ballot was never confirmed in any country really democratic. Thaksin Shinawatra was deposed as Prime Minister in September 2006, and has not held an official position in the Thai government since then. Whatever crimes were committed prior to 2006 have less and less significance as time goes on. It is now 10 years later. Yingluck was elected in 2011. The election process was properly completed by the Election Commission, and declared finished by Royal Decree. The United Nations and ANFREL issued statements that acknowledge irregularities, but concluded the elections were essentially free and fair and should be honored. So it would seem reasonable to take that 2011 election as a much more relevant starting point in discussing the merits of the elected government, the transgressions of that same government, any justification for the 2014 coup, and the performance of the current Junta. On that basis, I would suggest the list of merits will be short, the list of transgressions will include some significant items, especially the mismanagement of the rice scheme, the justification for the coup will be sadly lacking, and the performance of the current government will be mediocre, falling far short of the promises made.
