P45Mustang
Right. So who is going to do a better job than Mourinho? If he's out there, Abramovich needs to sign him. Ok Jose. Let's do it. Cesc, Diego, Hazard, Courtois, Luis, Azpul etc. Where's that fcker Ivanovic? And where's that fcker Schwarzer? Class act. Do it Jose. Were you one of the 12,000 who used to go over The Bridge in 83 ?. Or are you Premier league only ? Keep the faith Dave. Don't overcomplicate it. alt=thumbsup.gif> hahahaha , good on you mate
Sena Dave
How are the fans with Lampard gone , are they happy with Fabregas. I don't think those 2 could play together actually , for football and personal reasons I was in Sports bar in soi 13 the week before last , they had a Chelsea supporters evening. All had their shirts on , I think the nearest any of them came from London was India. ;0)

citizen33
Chelsea deserved their victory, but the Jacks can ask with some justification what Costa's elbow was doing in Sigurdsson's face. When things weren't going his way he showed a nasty side.

mrbojangles
No reason to think Chelsea won't win the league. They've definitely got the momentum and are looking good at the moment. Must be favourites at the moment but we are only 4 games in, so still a long way to go with plenty of twists and turns yet.

Could be very interesting if he picks up a nasty injury though because theres no real goalscoring backup that would be required to win the league, that is if we agree that Drogba's no longer capable of that much playing time and Remy's little more than a ten goal a season forward
oldgit
We are scoring plenty of goals, but we are shipping a lot as well. The second goal by Swansea was a shocker to give away. It might be the new three -at - the -back formation, because Ivanovic spends more time in the opposing half than ours. That's twice now where Costa has been a doubt for the game but has started and come up with the goals. Is it psychological warfare by the 'Happy One' because if it isn't, gawd help the opposition when he's fit. Schurrle couldn't put one foot in front of the other in the first half, and was rightly hauled off. The introduction of Ramires, who looked a different player to the one that laboured against Everton, gave us the pace and impetus in midfield that was lacking in the first half. Hazard was brilliant,by the way.

It'll take van Gaal a season to prepare them just to challenge the top four.

They cannot afford another year out of the CL, particularly next year as the prize money in the CL will increase an additional 50mil due to TV rights. rijit
interesting stat the chavs have 26 or 28 players out on loan thats absolutely shocking, bout time arrangements were made official with skint lower league clubs ie part ownership,, or something , but it needs addressing. Well if you come through the revered Chelsea Academy you never going to get regular first team football are you? Who was the last John Terry ? With their modus operandi sending them out on loan is the only option I guess and yes a substantial arrangement with a lower league club would be a good idea. How many former young Man Utd players are with Leicester ?....quite a few.
mjj
Well, we seem to be off to a flier. It's great to see Chelsea scoring for fun for a change. Even if you take out Costa's goals, only Everton have scored more than us. Nice. Costa is doing wonders for us though, his goals aren't that amazing, but he seems to be in the right place at the right time. It's not time to get too excited as we a letting goals in everywhere and haven't been tested yet. Next league match is arguably the most difficult in the epl, City at the Etihad. This will give us a good idea of how good or exposed we really are................can't wait!

But sadly, highly unlikely! They really are a very good side. No question about it and more's the pity. Not many chinks in the armor. The only hope is that "idiot"Terry (Rio has been on a roll lately !) shows his age, Cahill somehow falters and Ivanovic loses steam. Beyond those you would have to wish for injuries which I'd prefer not to do. That kind of bad karma will bite you in the ass. Could we actually see a Mou squad that banks on outscoring the opposition ?! Could be.

I think it probably is, but they'll constantly have to worry about a Costa injury. Edited September 16, 2014 by carmine
