Clarification on where to get re-entry permit

My visa and work permit were issued in Rayong but I am currently in Bangkok for a few days before flying out of Suvarnabhumi. Can I get a re-entry permit at Chaeng Wattana or Samut Prakan, or is my only option now to get it at the airport? The midnight closure at the airport is problematic for me but not insurmountable. CW or Samut Prakan would actually be more convenient.

You appear to have an extension of stay (not a visa) obtained at an immigration office. You can only get a re-entry permit at the office where you got the extension or at an airport.
