There have been plenty of reports of Thais being denied entry into South Korea due the increasingly large number of overstayers seeking work, male and female, my wife and I have travelled there a number of times and so have a number of our friends, none of us have encountered a problem though sometimes plans in South Korea itself are scrutinised, length of stay and accomocation, as well as exit tickets, I suspect the class of travel wouldn't make any difference one way or the other.

As a matter of interest it's worth noting that S Korea ceased the stamping of passports on exit some time ago in an effort to reduce queues on departure and are about to stop stamping passports on entry for the same reason, instead of stamping the passport the holder will get an entry and exit slip, whilst this is a good move, and many other countries seem to be doing the same, some Border Force Officers and Visa Officers use the exit and entry stamps in passports to satisfy themselves of a record of complying with immigration rules, maybe travellers should retain these slips.

I work in Korea and I am about to go meet my girlfriend in Thailand and we will be coming to Korea together. I am not sure if I should be concerned or not about her coming into country if I am with her. Will she need to have her own cash on hand to enter Korea or me vouching for her at immigration with my money is sufficient? How much money are they looking for, if she visits for month? I imagine me having a work visa holds more weight than a tourist but who knows nowadays?

If she thinks this is a reasonable approach then I suspect that anything you, or anybody else on this forum, can say will make her look past the perceived prospect of earning mega bucks over and above her initial outlay.
You talk about a "Thai girl" but your post implies that she might be in a relationship with you, this forum isn't really for discussing relationships but it beggars the question as to why a lass in a relationship would even consider wanting to travel to Korea to work in a massage parlour.

The media here in Thailand have been reporting that the Thai authorities have been stopping some Thai nationals traveling to Korea, and some other countries, when they believe that they are going overseas to work illegally, the Thai Embassy in Korea is also issuing warnings relating to working in Korea.

Forum Rules prohibit posts in Thai on this forum.
