I think they have hit on the coŕrect topic here, for they have clearly worked non stop with excellent results over 2 years on security.

Securing their own positions, that is.

Well no one can argue that they have succeeded in uniting divided political factions all of which loathe the current administration. Even members of the PDRC have come forward to say the last government was better than this one.

Returning happiness to the population might well take years.

Transcending bitter differences until each side unites against the common foe.

The people unite sick of being told their cell phones can lead to a cell.

That opinions can lead to loosing years of ones life , or even the life.

The world tied of yellow cards and insidious put owns about a "" lack of understanding"

Even Fan boy as they leave the country under conditions that they can't dress up in pink.

Media that have peers in prison.

The young men.

The soldiers themselves.

When that moment comes only then will the nation truly see that "" Happiness was returned"" this might be the coup to end coups.

I see Many years between that day and now.

And the sacrifices required might be too chilling to consider.

But as a reader pointed out yesterday in what I thought was a clever observation.

That having Thai Soldiers explain the charter up country might not be a bright idea by their masters( given some are Watermelons)

Meaning politically their families voted Red .

Meanwhile after two years their achievements include large trade drops.

Fear & loathing and poor social health , both psychical & mental .

Lower education, poorer sportsmanship , bad morale .

Lies and deceit .

Ruined reputation of harmonious holiday destination.

Shocking judicial system.

Slaves and lowest human rights abuses.

Kangaroo courts against political opponents .

Xenophobic and Nationalist rumblings .

Corrupt monks .

Corruption increases in all fields.

Collision course with world

Brink of sanctions.

Making Thaksin look like a religious figure complete with resplendent halo.

Cheaper air fares there as people without communism or Putin in their lives go elsewhere ( seedy Indian punters excepted )

Over all the biggest baby is the charter that's really a disgusting attempt and holding power by proxy.

It's staggering what these guys have managed this far.

But the show hasn't even started yet.

As the lights over Thailand dim.

Were it so easy to simply "declare" my accomplishments, I'd be the most successful person ever.

Oh, you mean I actually have to do something, not just talk about it? Forget that.

Achievement's based on security, ok lets have a very quick look.

  • Round up all protesters, (except the good ones, ie mad monk.)
  • anyone that criticizes the government.
  • Invitation's that can not be refused.
  • Attitude Adjustments for people even students that disagree with the junta.
  • Bombs in BKK.
  • Click like and it's gaol.
  • have a red bowl and it gaol.
  • not responding to a FB comment and it's gaol.
  • more vague loosely worded computer crimes laws.
  • three finger salute, and reading the wrong books in public is a crime.
  • falling price for rice, palm oil, rubber, etc
  • droughts, followed by floods.
  • Even Less time in school for students.
  • the corruption at all levels, but don't look in my back yard.
  • Human rights at a massive low.
  • Censorship very high.
  • Media being told what they can and can not wright.

NCPO reveals its achievements over the past 2 years

BANGKOK, 27 May 2016 (NNT) - The National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) has unveiled its achievements over the past two years, while promising to complete its roadmap.

NCPO Spokesperson Col Winthai Suwaree said the council will keep its promise to the Thai people to hold the public referendum on the draft charter as well as general elections. He also insisted that it was never the intention of the NCPO to remain in power for five more years.

Col Winthai had been responding to rumors that the NCPO wanted to terminate the referendum in order to remain in power. The spokesperson dismissed these claims as personal opinions and encouraged people to focus on the NCPO's timeframe.

The spokesperson also dismissed claims that the NCPO violated human rights, saying the council has always exercised great care in this regard.

If you would like a copy of the list of their achievements over the past 2 years, please send a blank piece of paper (postage stamp size should do), and a S.A.E. to their office in Bangkok.

Had there been a shred of credibility in the announcement, it was fairly well obliterated by this preposterous assertion regarding human rights.
