Bangkok holds goods fair in Bang Bon district

BANGKOK, 30 May 2016, (NNT) - The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) is holding a product fair at the Big C Supermarket in the capital's Bang Bon district.

According to Deputy Permanent Secretary for BMA Kittinan Khaosut, the event provides a venue for local entrepreneurs to sell their goods. The fair is part of the BMA's bid to promote local economy and tourism.

The event showcases locally made items, homegrown agricultural products, household products, leatherware, apparel, and food and drinks.

Organizers are also providing free services such as haircuts, medical check-ups, and repairs for electrical appliances.

Event-goers are invited to enjoy a Thai traditional music show. The fair opens everyday from 10:00am to 9:00pm and will be concluded on June 1.

I never saw a Big C Supermarket that didn't have local entrepreneurs selling their goods, albeit paying rent for space.

But a government funded Thai traditional music show and services should draw more customers to the vendors. Big C will be the Big Winner with larger crowds (at government expense).
