Thai Education Min considers Sec 44 for solving higher education problems

Featured Replies

Does he mean endemic cheating and the No Fail policy ?

Maybe he can order all Thai University students to increase their IQs to minimum 148 and become self motivated academics to international standards. That would be useful.....

Students that think and question are arrested under sect 44.

A very strange request? Sweeping powers that allow this General to do what ever he wants with no accountability or legislative appeal from anyone that finds his orders harsh, draconian or illegal. So who is he after to silence? Sounds like a year one decree at best?

no, no, you cynical lot he means use Section 44 to issue higher degrees - there problem solved all Thais are Masters Graduates

The most uneducated and arrogant folks are right at the rotten top.

These muppets still have not figured out that using section 44 is more likely to create new or additional problems and without solving anything.

So what would be your solution?

Please bear in mind that the current rules and regulations make it virtually impossible to fire civil servants.
