Our was priced a s follows, hand made not flatpack etc:

10 base units (a mix of drawer/cupboard units and oven housing unit. 59k

10 wall units, mostly al cupboard units - 36k

A couple of add on units to hold microwave etc, plus plinth plus lights - 12k

Granite top, cut and fit, 18 k

Not a top of the range job but a decent mid range kitchen.

This was with a small company (5 people who make only cabinets) of cabinet makers locally in Chiang Mai, let me know if you want the contact details but I'm pretty sure he wont go too far outside of this area.

Those numbers could probably double or more depending on he amount of solid wood vs plywood vs hollow doors, the type of wood and granite, right CM?

Or did you get solid teak throughout for that price?

As stated, a mid range kitchen, blockboard and laminate, nicely finished, well constructed as in solid and pleasing to the eye.

The closest we could get from a kitchen supplier via HomePro was nearly 300k for the same number of units in the same configuration, construction materials about the same.

Ask some your Thai friends or neighbours. Then however much they estimate multiply that by 5 to 6 times because you are a clueless Farlang, the Thai working man`s best friend, and that should give you an approximate price you`ll be expected to pay. You may think I`m joking, but I`m not.

Oh yes, almost forgot. Whoever recommends a workman for you will expect commission from the deal. You won`t know about it, the extra will be added onto your bill.

I known about the commission part. However, what i know is that their workmanship kind of suck.
