BANGKOK:-- Several hundreds of people showed up this morning (Sunday) to receive free tickets for the trial run of the Purple Line elevated train service between Bangyai and Taopoon.

The free tickets were given out to members of the public at Taopoon, Nonthaburi 1 and Klong Bang Pai stations from 9 am to 3 pm. Each person is eligible to receive three tickets.

The Mass Rapid Transit Authority, the operator of the train service, has reserved 45,000 free tickets for free distribution for the 23-km trial run between Bangyai and Taopoon.

Anyone who is interested to get the free tickets can register at the three above-stated stations from today until June 10 during 9 am and 3 pm.

In this "digital economy," why can't we register online?

Yeah, now available and not available are a little different. This is Thailand. Good that the mass transit build-out is going at a fast pace. Perhaps one step ahead of traffic gridlock.
