I've just realised that I've put down the wrong dates for travelling to & from the UK on the missus' UK Visitor Visa application & I can no longer change it online as far as I can see.

What are my options as her appointment in Trendy House is on Thursday morning?

Alter the travel dates by hand on the hard copy of the application and make a note in the comments section.

If there's a covering letter, make a note on there.

I also emailed them & they replied telling me to cancel the application, apply for a refund then resubmit the correct application

Who was that, VFS or the UKVI?

Altering the date on the hard copy works, happens fairly regularly.

You can do as they've suggested if you have time, but it will cost you money with the currency conversions, and you will wait a while for the refund.

The dates you give are only indicative, unless they're miles out.

It was UKVI but I've just checked the refund rules & I need to do it 5 days ahead of the appointment so that's out.

I'm writing a covering note explaining.

I don't really think it will be an issue though unless we end up dealing with someone who's having a really bad day at the office.

We shall see.

I'm assuming that would be the UKVI "help line" they just work to a script.

The guys at the Embassy do have their faults, but are quite reasonable, I don't think it will be a problem.
