Story by Albert Jack

PATTAYA: -- Just after midnight, on the morning of June 8, the police were informed that an Italian national had been drugged and robbed of his belongings.

Forty-four year old Vick Geneva has made a statement claiming he invested over two-million baht in the entertainment business with some local partners and subsequently lost his money.

Following that he was approached at the Majestic Hotel, on May 28, by another man who assured him he would be able to retrieve his investment for him. But it would cost another 600,000 in police fees which needed to be provided in advance.

Mr Geneva then went with the money to meet the man at his black Toyota Fortuna and discuss the matter further.

Some more details would sure be nice so we can get an idea of the original perps that took his investment money, and then the identification of the debt collectors who were also out to fleece this guy,,,,,,,,,,,if the story turns out to be true.

It's a news report, not a request for investigative assistance from Thaivisa 'experts'.

This sort of thing happens frequently in the City of Lovemaking.

Sucker arrives in town, thinks with his little brain, and wants to get involved in the "entertainment" business or more bluntly wants to be a pimp.

It is on the very edge of the law so they trust what the conman foreigner feeds them who claims he has the right contacts etc.and likely plied him with hot p..sy to keep his guard down and pre occupied.

Usually all done with cash and little or no documentation. All a bit hush hush.

This wannabe then fell for a second time, and paid 600,000 up front.

He was never going to make it in Pattaya. A lamb to the slaughter.

He is probably lucky he lost his money quickly, better than losing the money and wasting time as well. He didn't have a hope from the start.

Now he has gone to the police, if he has any money left I am sure the they will relieve him of it, figuring he will lose it anyway and it is better in their hands rather than some foreign conman.

One is born everyday and Pattaya is a magnet.

Next.

it is natural reaction to try to recoup some of the losses one has incurred. unfortunately this guy met some wrong people who were trying to help him. how do you recover a "business"". that is only one way street.

He sounds way off the type that gets involved in such a business. To be in that biz which involves pros, drugs, guns and pimping on large scale too.He was obviously a greedy bum who was gullible enough to part with £40k.

In Thailand I wouldn't part with anything except my S***ms......

Woke up on a beach, realising he'd just been drugged and robbed again! then reported it 10 days later because he could not contact the con men.

Really?

Maybe it took 10 days for his arse to literally recuperate..
